About the Team

At DoorDash, Internal Audit aims to provide independent assurance that DoorDash's risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively. We are a small team that is looking to expand and bring on motivated and accomplished risk-focused professionals on the team. We don't think of ourselves as a typical audit department - we are obsessively focused on risks to the organizations which reflects in the type of projects we support and execute.

DoorDash is rapidly growing - we are expanding in multiple geographies and launching new products. This exciting growth presents us with new challenges, but also gives us the opportunities to get creative in problem solving! We collaborate very closely with several business functions in managing risks to DoorDash. Our focus includes financial, operational, regulatory, security and IT.

About the Role

We're hiring an IT Audit Senior Associate, who will help us build complex technology audits and assessments to manage risks to DoorDash. You will work cross-functionally with businesses across the company and develop an understanding of our processes end to end, create succinct documentation and reporting to allow DoorDash management to improve our risk posture and better manage our risks. You will report to the IT Audit Senior Manager on our Internal Audit team in our Finance organization.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will

• You will assist the IA leadership in planning and audit scope development and project execution as an essential team member on complex technology - related assessments be it operational or security including SOX audits, complex system implementation review, operational audits, and more.
• You will work with cross functional process owners to understand the processes and controls end to end. You will not limit yourself to understanding only the IT processes and will ensure that IT controls are sufficient considering the nature of the business.
• You will lead the development of the SOX and IT audits/assessments of a project either as an individual contributor where you will own the testing and control workpaper documentation end to end or oversee other team members and work deliverables.
• You will uncover underlying issues or business problems in processes or controls and track those issues in the remediation log. You will also partner with the process owners and IA leadership to agree on the finding and remediation planning.
• You will maintain business relationships with appropriate levels of management to ensure that Audit is aware of changes in business activities and goals, and a necessary Audit response is developed.
• You will promote new ideas and new ways of completing projects and internal infrastructure enhancements.
• You will coordinate with external auditors and control owners and stakeholders to help ensure smooth and effective completion of SOX program needs and other ad hoc audits or assessments.

We're excited about you because

• You have 3+ years of relevant IT audit experience with a Big 4 firm or a technology company
• You have experience building IT controls testing for SOX audit and special IT audits with focus on major project developments, Change management, vulnerability management and evaluation of DevOps and Cloud Computing risks.
• You are experienced in leading walkthroughs in methodological manner - you understand how to interview stakeholders, gather information, sift to identify relevant information, and document essential details
• You have experience reviewing and auditing controls in ERP applications, cloud systems like Workday, Salesforce, NetSuite, AWS, GitHub and understanding of controls in engineering processes like agile and DevOps models.
• You exhibit strong business writing skills and can produce clear documentation (e.g. process flowcharts, narratives, memos)
• You have experience in testing controls and produce high-quality workpapers with limited review comments; You operate and work at the lowest level of detail
• You can speak to different audiences: control owners, process owners, external auditors, third-party co-source provider
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance or Accounting degree.
• CISA/CISSP/PMP/CIA/CPA/CFE or related certification preferred.
